...but the poskim allow it these days because the reason why chazal gaizered it no longer applies....I thought Torah says that we have to follow Chazal's decrees even if the reason doesnt apply anymore...can someone explain this?

There are different decrees from different time periods. Not all rabbinic decrees are the same. There are some for only a short period of time, there are some that are standing and they only give a hint as to what the reason is and sometimes they make decrees that are for a specific reason. Sometimes when that reason ceases to exist, the Rabbinic decree can end.
