Here are some recent ones:
- There comes a point in your life when you realize who really matters, who never did, and who always will
- Sometimes we expect more from others because we would be willing to do that much for them
- Respect people who find time for you in their busy schedule. But love people who never look at their schedule when you need them.
- You can never make the same mistake twice; because the second time you make it, it's not a mistake, it's a choice.
- People cry, not because they are weak, but because they have been strong for too long (my favorite)

-
The awkward moment when you are on a bike and get hit by a car..... a parked one.-There is only one perfect child in the world and every mother has it.
-You are getting old when you enjoy remembering things more than doing them.

"When you get to the end of the rope....tie a knot and hang on!" (I don't know if you have ever heard the mashal about how struggles bring you closer to Hashem becuase you get to the end, tie a knot, and then the rope is shorter and now you are closer to Hashem
"Life is tough, if you have the ability to laugh at it, you have the ability to enjoy it!"

-Sometimes all you can do is laugh to keep yourself from crying
-People change, things go wrong, but just remember life goes on
-It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you're not
-there's always some truth behind every "just kidding", always some knowledge behind every "i don't know", always some emotion behind every "I don't care", and always some pain behind every "it's okay."
-some people put up walls not to keep others out, but to see who cares enough to break them down
-if you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it. If you don't ask, the answer is always no. If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place.
-some people blame our generation, but have they ever stopped to think who raised us?
-Don't worry about the world ending today, it's already tomorrow in Australia.
-It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

“Do the things you used to talk about doing but never did. Know when to let go and when to hold on tight. Stop rushing. Don't be intimidated to say it like it is. Stop apologizing all the time. Learn to say no, so your yes has some oomph. Spend time with the friends who lift you up, and cut loose the ones who bring you down. Stop giving your power away. Be more concerned with being interested than being interesting. Be old enough to appreciate your freedom, and young enough to enjoy it.
Finally, know who you are. ”

Believe it or not, in limited circumstances, that can be true. See here. The Teshuvos Chasam Sofer in his introduction to Yoreh Deah asks why Gedolim live long lives - logic would dictate that they would finish their "job" in this world faster than regular people, and so it would make sense they should die young."Hashem put me on earth to accomplish alot of things but right now i am so behind i will never die"
He answers that Gedolim indeed finished their own job in this world when they were young, and the reason they are still here is onyl because we need them - not because they need to do their job.
So on one hand, Hashem does give us the time we need in order to finish our jobs.
On the other hand, Rav Chaim Shmuelevitz once explained why, if a Beinoni does not do Teshuva on Asres Yemei Teshuva by the time Yom Kippur comes, he is inscribed for death. Even if he does not do Teshuva, isn't he still a Beinoni? he asks, So why would he have to die?
He answers that when a person is born, he is on the level of a Beinoni - he has the same amount of Mitzvos and Aveiros. If, after given life, he did not accomplish anything more than what he was when he was born, there is no reason to give him life. it is not a punishment that we inscribe him for death - it is simply that he is not progressing so what's the point of him being in this world.
It's like an employee who is supposed to sell stuff for you. He comes back with $10,000 in sales but also with $10,000 in expenses. You fire him not because he stole or he did something wrong, but because he does not accomplish anything for the business.
So while it is true that Hashem gives us time to do our job, He also expects us to constantly work toward that goal. He is fair. he will not give us less time than we need. he is even merciful. If we merit it, Hashem will give us more time than we deserve. But we cannot think that by NOT doing our job, Hashem will just keep us in His business. Hashem is merciful, but we are given life for a reason. and he expects us to make good use of it.

this is so powerful. thank uKind of long, but I think we can all find at least one aspect to relate to:
“Do the things you used to talk about doing but never did. Know when to let go and when to hold on tight. Stop rushing. Don't be intimidated to say it like it is. Stop apologizing all the time. Learn to say no, so your yes has some oomph. Spend time with the friends who lift you up, and cut loose the ones who bring you down. Stop giving your power away.
