Do you have to forgive someone who has violated you?

If someone violates a person, like rapes them or something, and they are Jewish, maybe even someone that you know, do you have to forgive them? And if yes, how??

If I understood correctly, the Rav said elsewhere (on Frumteens) there is no obligation to forgive even if (s)he does full teshuvah. If they don't, certainly you dont have to.
