the meal is lovely
the conversation free
the atmosphere homey
it is motzie shabbos now
and look who's here again

ok...i guess he came again
sunday night the doorbell rings
look who it is
that guest from last shabbos
awkward, he's here again
monday afternoon arrives
will he come tonight
you wonder aloud
doesn't he realize it's just plain IMPOLITE
by the time it's thursday
you are quite weary
the dinner conversation is awkward
y won't he get the hint already???
Hashem is a POLITE guest
never overstaying
He doesn't return without an invitation
show up without ur saying
Wen u want Him with you,
INVITE HIM!
Let Him into the room wen u study,
invite Him to your kitchen as u cook,
into the conversation on the fone,
to ur heart as u walk!
let Him know He's wanted
It's not something u do once
imagine that guest
every day
returning uninvited
Hashem await ur call
Every moment needs a new invite
He wouldn't want to b IMPOLITE
