What does it mean if a person gets what they ask for most of the time? Are they really good- they get the stuff because they deserve it- or is it that it's a using up your good times now so you can suffer in the next world?

It could be either. Or neither.

The only way to determine someone's righteousness is if they are righteous. Same with evil.

Really I think everyone gets what they ask for. They just need to remember to ask.

I heard a great quote, and can be used to answer this Q:

"Hashem has 3 answers to our questions:

1) Yes

2) Not yet

3) I have something better in mind"

:)
