One of the fascinating facts that are presented by Aish and other like kiruv groups are the fact that at the end of the Megillah, 10 sons are hanged. They show a parallel between them and the 10 Nazi leaders hanged from the Nuremberg trial. They also point to the small letters in the names of the sons of the Megillah which are tav, shin, and tayin, and a large vav. The large vav is said to be the 6th millenium and tav, shin, tayin would be the secular year 1946, i.e. when the execution took place. There are all sorts of interesting parallels that are brought connected to this idea. Plus they say the Julius Streicher even said "Purim Fest 1946" as his last words.

My question is, have these parallels been brought down in the sefarim of the gedolim of the previous generation? When I asked a question about the Fins and Scales, I got the impression from your answer that sometimes the kiruv people can be a little bit hazy with their facts, but you quoted other sefarim where this fact was mentioned.

Are there sefarim or gedolim who mentioned such a connection>?

thanks

No, this is just from the Kiruv organizations (it's not the type of thing that you'd find in Seforim). And their facts seem to be correct. Attached is an article from the Foreign Affairs section of the October 28th, '46 issue of Newsweek, page 46. Also noteworthy is that in that year (5707), October 16th, the date of the trial of the Nazis, came out on Hoshana Rabbah, which is the final Yom HaDin for all the nations of the world. It is indeed quite an interesting story.

Ok. Have you heard of any Gedolim who have mentioned it in a positive light?

thanks

Never heard of any Gedolim speaking about it at all.
