Okay, so I have yet ANOTHER problem. My mom and I have been having a dispute over removing the chametz both last year and this year. I told her Hashem told us to REMOVE it completely. She wants to store it upstairs and after Pesach put it back into the cabinets. I told her, very kindly, that that’s not what the Torah commands, but I felt I should leave it alone because I didn’t want to get in an argument. She said she’d think about it, and when I asked her today, she said she wasn’t going to get rid of the chametz the proper way. Of course, it made me upset. Honestly, even a little disappointed. I feel I can’t experience Pesach freely if there’s still chometz sitting in my apartment. It takes away from everything, but she doesn't get it! Please, please help me on how to cope with this……….

Pesach troubles..... PLEASE RESPOND!!

OK, first. you and you Mom are two separate people. The Chometz belongs to her, not you. There is no such thing as family Chometz. Your Pesach is equally Kosher whether your mother destroys her Chometz or not. It is a Rachmanus on her, but she has her own free will, and she has to make her own choices. Her owning Chometz does not spiritually impact on your Pesach.
That having been said, there's a way to fix the situation. As soon as possible after reading this, call your local Orthodox rabbi and give him your mother's name and address. Do this tomorrow morning as early as you can, before your rabbi sells his people's Chometz to the Goy. If you call him between 7:00-9:00 it should be fine, but make sure you get him. Many Poskim hold he can sell your Mother's Chometz to the Goy even without her authorization to do so. The rule is called זכין לאדם שלא בפניו - or, if you want to be more precise, in this case it would be זכין מאדם שלא בפניו. Many Poskim hold you can do that. When your rabbi sells her Chometz to the Goy, she is no longer in violation of the prohibition of owning Chometz on Pesach.
Any Orthodox rabbi should be able to do this if you get him early enough tomorrow, If you want, I can do it for you. Email me the information tonight if you can (rabbishapiro@baismedrash.com). But if you don't want to reveal the information to me, call your local Orthodox rabbi tomorrow morning and give the information to him. If you don't have a rabbi to call, then get a hold of any teacher from your school or someone like that who can call their rav tomorrow early in the morning. Explain to them the situation. All it takes is 10 seconds for the rabbi to put your mother's name and address on their list of "customers" whose Chometz is sold to the Goy.

Thank you so much Rabbi, but she finally decided to get rid of it ,B"H. But, I thank you so so so much for all your help. I really do appreciate this. I hope she doesn't change her mind because it's far too late to call a rabbi. And plus, where I live there aren't many around. Thank you so much, though. Frailichen Pesach to you and your family (:
